Nearly 1 year ago, in one of my first blog posts for this, I talked about a game called Vanish. While making that post, I was unable to play the game because the screen was always just black the whole way through, and the only thing I knew about it was what Markiplier went through in his video. Many months later, Markiplier played it probably 10-15 times, finally beat, and I finally played it until I beat it, so I will talk about the full version that just came out allowing Markiplier to beat it, and me to play it.
In the updated version, you're tossed into this sewer like series of hallways with the plan probably being that you slowly die. While in here, you try to find the keys to the door, and then find your way to the door to free yourself. Sounds simple right? It's not that simple. First off, the coolest part of this game is that it's not only randomly generated, but every so often the level just randomly changes, meaning you can't just trace a path to get to the keys and then just go back the way you came. Also, there are sewer creatures that live in this area that are blind, but are very strong with hearing, so if you run towards one, it will run towards you, but huddle in a corner, and you should be safe. There are many other things including holes in the walls that can be just straight forward, glowsticks that you find in some generator rooms, and notes left by some random people. This game is very scary with the disturbing music, the erie feeling, and the random events that won't all kill you, but easily catch you off guard. Honestly, this is one of the best and scariest games I've ever beaten, and I'm surprised I didn't have a heart attack before I finally beat it.
Innovation Rating: 10/10 (Randomly generated, and randomly changes while you play, holy crap)
Scary Rating: 9/10 (Plenty of things to keep you on your feet from start to end)
Awesomeness Rating: 9/10 (only a few bugs keep it from perfection)
