I decided that for today, I would do one of my favorite, yet most hated games, I wanna be the guy Gaiden. While this game is not categorized as a Horror game, it is an Indie Game that would make your head spin more than any horror game could. You're this small character who is only equipped with a gun and grappling hook and have to go on this long adventure of three stages, and the map (yes, the map) that you must get through, seems easy right? Wrong! In this game, basically anything can be a trap, and with limited save points, which becomes more limited as your difficulty increases, you must get through a bunch of sneaky traps just to hope you can get to the next save point, and maybe the idea of winning can come to your head of winning if you feel really proud.

And as for the announcement, I am playing to update this blog on a most constant basis. I will plan to add another post every Thursday from now on, unless something comes up. If something comes up, then I will post it either on Wednesday or Friday.
I have changed it up since that announcement. I am now adding a download link to all of the posts I make so you can easily find the games and try them for yourselves. I promise to do 1 post a weekend, if not more.
There are many games in the internet that have been related to the word "scary," and I have decided to try to tackle some of the games and report on them. There will be spoilers in here so if you want to play these with no history behind it, do not read them. The games will be rated out of 10 based on Scary level, awesomeness level, and innovation level so there are several ways to look at it. I will try to critique a game every Friday, so visit here on Fridays to see a new one

Eyes
Alright, our next game for discussion is an Indie Horror Game on the Unity engine known simply as Eyes. Basically you are a robber who sneaks into someone's house and you want to take money. There are 28 money bags scattered around this 3-story house, and the difficulty you choose determines how many you must collect. There is an easy, medium, and hard difficulty (named differently but mean the same thing) where you have to collect either 12 (easy), 20 (medium) or all 28 (hard) money bags and get to the door that leads out of the house. The catch is that there is a ghost girl who roams the house and may catch you. If she is near you a sudden message will appear on the top of your screen simply saying "RUN," where you will want to run or be caught and have to try all over again. There are paintings of eyes scattered along the walls of the house that you can collect and use to see what the ghost can see for about 8 seconds (to give you an idea of where she is). Nothing big happens when you win, it just tells you that you survived and that the creator thanks you for playing her game. I really enjoy this game and while I can't seem to beat medium difficulty, I definitely recommend this game to anyone who want's a horror game that's more based on the idea than the horror.

White Noise
Today's critique is not on a Computer Indie Horror Game, but on an Xbox Indie Horror Game called White Noise. This is a game that goes off the Slender style of game play, but changes it up a bit. You start out in the forest and you are looking for 8 tape recorders. As you find your first one the monster spawns and starts getting trickier to dodge as you get more and more tape recorders. Finally if the monster catches you it shows the screen being a little staticly and you turn to see the monster who attacks you, or eats you, or I don't know. As you get more Tape Recorders all together you can unlock 4 different alternate modes. You can play Hard mode which makes the game harder to beat, you got Happy mode where your flashlight emits a smiley face on the ground, you got Night Vision mode where you play the game with Night Vision on, and Lithium Batteries where your flashlight never runs out, and whenever you get a tape recorder, you flashlight's light gets a bit stronger. Altogether this is a good remake off of the popular Slender Game, and I definitly recommend you playing this game, which only costs 80 Microsoft Points to download
